- Responsive design does not have a ranking benefit
- Googlebot must be allowed to crawl CSS & JavaScript to pass the “mobile-friendly” test
- Mobile friendliness is determined at the page level – not site
wide - Tablets will not be affected by this update
- Google is currently working on a dedicated mobile index
You have several options in which to build a mobile site. You can go the stand alone mobile domain with original content and a unique design, put your mobile site on a mobile subdomain, or goes with a straight responsive design. If you go with a mobile subdomain be sure to use rel canonical tags to avoid duplicate content.
